At Academic Advantage, we work one-on-one with students, or in small groups of two to three upon request.
Sessions are typically in-home, or at an alternate place such as a Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, library, etc. Parents are always surprised to learn that it costs about the same to have one-on-one tutoring as it does to have a student share one teacher with four other students, at a franchised tutoring company. Most importantly, students learn better because of the individualized attention and because the instructor is able to devote the time to just one student. The instructors are either certified or highly-skilled and, most importantly, enjoy what they do. We believe that passion comes across and makes a tremendous difference, and when teachers are knowledgeable and energized about what they are teaching, students learn!
